1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and participating in the BlackSite AI Ghost Operator ARG (the "Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not participate.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to participate. By participating, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Game Rules & Conduct

3.1 Permitted Activities

• Solving puzzles and challenges within the game interface
• Using publicly available tools and resources (cipher decoders, EXIF readers, etc.)
• Collaborating with other participants through legitimate channels
• Sharing non-spoiler content about the game on social media
• Discussing strategies in designated community spaces

3.2 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN:

• Hacking or unauthorized access: No attempts to hack, breach, or gain unauthorized access to any systems, servers, databases, or accounts
• Social engineering: No impersonation, phishing, or manipulation of other participants or third parties
• Malware creation: No creation, distribution, or deployment of malicious software
• Illegal data collection: No scraping, harvesting, or collecting private data from any source
• DDoS or flooding: No denial of service attacks or system flooding
• Trespassing: No physical trespassing or unauthorized access to physical locations
• Harassment: No harassment, doxxing, or intimidation of participants or staff
• Cheating: No automated bots, scripts, or tools designed to solve puzzles automatically
• Exploiting vulnerabilities: No exploitation of bugs or vulnerabilities for advantage (report them instead)

4. Legal Compliance

All puzzle solutions and required actions are designed to be legal and ethical. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while participating. If any challenge appears to require illegal activity, DO NOT PROCEED and contact us immediately at ops@blacksiteai.club.

5. Data & Privacy

5.1 Data Collection

We collect:

• Progress data (steps completed, timestamps, attempts)
• Anonymous session IDs stored in your browser
• Email addresses (only if you opt-in to join the Ghost Cohort)
• Performance metrics (time spent, completion rates)

5.2 Data Usage

Your data is used to:

• Track your progress through the challenges
• Verify completion and prevent cheating
• Improve the game experience
• Contact you regarding Ghost Cohort eligibility (if opted in)

5.3 Data Storage

Progress data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Server-side data (if any) is encrypted and stored securely. We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, puzzles, designs, code, and materials in this ARG are the intellectual property of BlackSite AI. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

7. No Guarantees

Participation does not guarantee:

• Acceptance into the Ghost Cohort
• Employment or partnership opportunities
• Prizes, rewards, or compensation (unless explicitly stated)
• Uninterrupted or error-free gameplay

8. Termination & Banning

We reserve the right to terminate or ban any participant who:

• Violates these Terms of Service
• Engages in illegal activities
• Cheats or exploits the game
• Harasses other participants
• Attempts to reverse engineer or tamper with game systems

Banned users forfeit all progress and eligibility.

9. Disclaimers & Liability

9.1 As-Is Basis

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

BlackSite AI and its affiliates are not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from participation, including but not limited to data loss, system damage, or opportunity costs.

9.3 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your actions while participating. Use tools and resources at your own risk. Ensure your devices are secure and backed up.

10. Reporting

If you discover a bug, exploit, vulnerability, or observe prohibited behavior, report it immediately to ops@blacksiteai.club. Good-faith reporters will not be penalized.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms. Check this page periodically for updates.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
